Jeevika Youth Ambasssador
CCS has been organising Jeevika that brings together films on the issue of livelihood through competition and showcases them to raise mass awareness through annual festival and screenings across the cities around the world. www.jeevika.org Jeevika started in 2003 with India focus, in 2005 it expanded to South Asia, and in 2009 it has become an Asia Livelihood Documentary Competition and Festival. The Festival will be organised from 28-30 August 2009 at India Habitat Centre in New Delhi. We are inviting applications from youth (16-35 years) interested to be a volunteer Jeevika Youth Ambassador as we prepare for Jeevika 2009. Jeevika Youth Ambassadors will be the primary voice of Jeevika to the youth. They communicate and coordinate with educational institutions, student/youth bodies and organisations, in order to organise screening and discussion on the Jeevika documentaries. They are also invited to share ideas and strategies in achieving the larger social objectives of providing livelihood options to the people. Why volunteer? Volunteering with CCS provides an opportunity to learn new skills and to develop existing ones. All volunteers are provided exciting opportunities to attend events, meet new people and personalities. With the added experience, you also get a certificate and official T-shirt of CCS. There will be an introductory meeting on Tuesday (5 May) at CCS office at K36 Hauz Khas Enclave (Bus Stop: IIT Delhi Main Gate) from 5-6 pm. Interested volunteers write to vol@ccs.in or sms ‘Your full name JYA’ to 09899485667 |
